After significant weight loss or pregnancy, the abdominal skin tends to deteriorate, and excess fat can form in the abdominal region and hips. Abdominal redraping (tummy tuck or a suprapubic incision, such as caesarean section) associated with liposuction of the fat excess regions, are used to obtain a flat abdomen and a small waist. In some cases, if the abdominal wall is weak, the abdominal muscles are tightened in order to increase the abdominal wall resistance (diastasis cure).
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, and you are discharged the next day. This operation is sometime covered by the insurance.
