After pregnancy, breastfeeding or weight loss, breasts tend to sag globally (ptosis) associating cleavage deficit. The patient may also have a volume difference between the breasts.
Mastopexy (breast lift) is a surgical technique of breast lifting using breast volume redistribution in order to reshape the breast and improve the cleavage. The incision pattern depends on the skin excess to be removed. In some situations, in case of insufficient volume, a gesture of breast augmentation can be associated (implant or lipofilling).
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, and you are discharged the next day. It is considered aesthetic surgery.
